This lecture will discuss how the COVID 19 pandemic has changed the way patients and physicians interact with each other and the changes to the healthcare environment, with telehealth being a priority.
Many institutions and clinics have already adopted virtual clinics as a way to maintain patient care, but as the pandemic plays out, there are many changes that are affecting the way hospitals and their providers practice every day. Implementation of virtual patient visits differs from health system to health system, depending on their existing infrastructure and capabilities. The faculty will discuss what their institutions are currently doing, share experiences, and what their next steps are for this new way of life of medicine.
